What are Parts of Speech?

In traditional grammar, the parts of speech are the categories of words that have similar grammatical properties. These categories help to understand how words function within a sentence and how they relate to each other.

The parts of speech include nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections.

Each part of speech plays a specific role in constructing a sentence and conveying meaning. Understanding the parts of speech can help in analysing and constructing proper sentences in a language.
